Can You Visit HYBE Yongsan? What's Actually There in 2026
HYBE Insight closed at Yongsan in 2023 and the building is office-only now — here's what's actually accessible and the nearest official merch stores.
Table of Contents
A lot of fan itineraries still list HYBE’s Yongsan headquarters as a stop with a museum and shop inside. That’s out of date, and knowing it before you go saves a wasted trip.
The building is office-only now
HYBE’s Yongsan headquarters (Hangang-daero 42) is a working office facility. General public access — the lobby, any internal cafe, the basement level — is not permitted. There’s no signage or process for walking in as a visitor.
HYBE Insight closed here in 2023
The company’s official museum-and-shop space, HYBE Insight, operated inside this building but closed there in January 2023. If your source is an older blog post or a fan itinerary from before that date, the museum it describes isn’t there anymore.
Where to actually go nearby
There’s no official record store directly walkable from the HYBE building itself. The closest option is the music section on the 6th floor of Youngpoong Bookstore inside I’Park Mall at Yongsan Station, roughly a 15-minute walk, which carries official albums.
For the full merchandise range — official lightsticks, photocards, and the widest store selection — Myeongdong and Hongdae’s major retailers (Withmuu, Ktown4u) are the more complete stops rather than anything near the HYBE building itself.
For the widest selection of official merchandise in one trip, see Koursea’s official K-pop merchandise shopping guide.
If you’re still building out a full day around this stop — cafes, a museum backup and a public riverside finish — see HYBE Yongsan 1-Day Fan Tour.
